The online gaming and Esports sector is one of the main targets of cyberattacks. These platforms are often very sensitive to network conditions, so they need a stable network connection because connection weakening can render them unusable or even cause a complete outage. Also, a better quality of service means a higher rank in gaming communities. On the other hand, it is very easy to buy a DDoS attack and disrupt or even shut down someone’s business. We have built a strong security infrastructure against such attacks.

As a result, it is very important for hosting platforms to keep the server’s IP address constantly protected against threats. DDoS attacks often exploit connectionless mode (UDP), a network layer protocol commonly used by video games and audio servers for fast data transfer.

To combat these large and frequent threats, we developed a service that is always on, close to the game service and leverages incredibly fast hardware. The game application understands their status (connecting with active game or authentication phase) and can distinguish legitimate players from bad traffic. Game quality is preserved.
